Everything About
The Lashberry kit
DIY lash extensions at home involve applying cluster lashes yourself, rather than having them professionally done in a salon. These at-home kits typically include lash extensions, adhesive, and application tools, allowing you to achieve fuller, longer lashes on your own.
DIY lash extensions are a more affordable and flexible option compared to salon treatments, but they do require practice for precise and safe application.
Cluster lashes are small groups of individual lash extensions that are pre-bundled together.
Step 1: Ensure your natural lashes are completely clean and free of any makeup or previous glue residue. Curl your lashes with an eyelash curler for a better result. Then, use the bond brush to apply a thin layer of glue underneath your natural eyelashes, near the roots, up to one-third the lash length. Wait 30-60 seconds for it to dry.
Step 2: Meanwhile, use your fingertips to gently unstick each lash piece from the strip in the box. Then, use the applicator tool to grab it near the base. Apply a small amount of clear bond to the base of the lash strip for extra hold.
Step 3: Starting with the outside corner of the eye, place your lash piece carefully underneath your natural lashes. Repeat with the remaining pieces, working inwards.
Step 4: Apply the sealant from underneath the lashes to seal them with your natural lashes, paying close attention to the base of the lashes. Additionally, apply some sealant onto the lash applicator before pressing the lashes together with it.
Step 5: Wait approximately 30-60 seconds for the sealant to dry. Avoid getting lashes wet for 24 hours and then enjoy your new fresh set of lashes for up to 7-10 days !
AVOID USING OIL-BASED PRODUCTS AROUND THE EYES AND USE A SPONGE OR MINI CLOTH TO CLEAN AROUND THE EYES DURING THE WEEK.
With proper care, cluster lashes can last between 7 to 10 days. However, we recommend removing them after one week to thoroughly clean your eyes and reduce the risk of infection.
Cluster lashes are suitable for most individuals and offer a great alternative for those allergic to professional-grade adhesives used in lash extensions. They are non-toxic and free from cyanoacrylate, a common ingredient found in traditional eyelash extension glues.
Yes, you can apply cluster lashes over lash extensions or use them as an emergency solution to fill in gaps. However, be mindful of the adhesive and the added weight to avoid damaging your natural lashes.
Yes, lash clusters typically cause less harm than traditional lash extensions, but it depends on how they are applied and removed. Here’s why:
- Lighter weight: Cluster lashes are usually lighter and apply to several natural lashes at once, physically there is less traction compared to individual lash extensions.
- Easier removal: Cluster lashes are often temporary and easier to remove without professional assistance, which can lower the risk of damage to your natural lashes if removed properly.
- Shorter wear time: They are typically worn for shorter periods (7 to 10 days), reducing the long-term stress on your natural lashes compared to semi-permanent extensions that require refills.
Here are the steps to safely remove your cluster lashes:
Step 1:
Apply the remover to your lashes, ensuring thorough coverage on both the top and bottom.
Step 2:
Gently brush off the lashes using the lash wand. Avoid rubbing or pulling. Once removed, set the clusters aside.
Step 3:
Use lash shampoo and a soft, clean brush to gently cleanse your eyelids and lashes, removing any remaining glue residue.
Step 4:
Apply a generous amount of shampoo to the brush and clean one eye at a time using circular motions.
Step 5:
Rinse your eyes with water and pat dry with a clean towel.
Following
these steps will leave your eyes free from any remaining glue residue.
Yes, you can reuse cluster lashes up to 10 times as long as they are removed carefully and cleaned properly after each use. Store them in a safe, dry place to maintain their shape.
To care for your cluster lashes, avoid using oil-based products near your eyes, refrain from rubbing or pulling on the lashes. Clean your eyes daily with a foaming soap and tap dry with a lint-free cotton.
Applying mascara to cluster lashes is not recommended, as it can lead to clumping and shorten their lifespan. If you’re looking for extra volume, you can stack your cluster lashes, but it’s best to do this for a one-day event to avoid damaging your natural lashes from the additional weight.
Seeing white residue on your cluster lashes after a shower can be caused by a few factors:
- Adhesive Breakdown: The heat and moisture from the shower can cause the adhesive used to apply the cluster lashes to break down, leading to a white, flaky residue.
- Product Build-Up: If you use makeup products, such as mascara or eye makeup remover, they may mix with water and form residue that appears white after drying.
- Water Contact: If the lashes get excessively wet, it can cause any remaining adhesive or debris to become visible, especially if not cleaned properly.
- Skin Cells and Oils: Natural oils from your skin or dead skin cells can accumulate on the lashes, particularly if you haven't cleaned them recently.
To prevent this clean your cluster lashes regularly with a gentle cleanser specifically designed for eyelash extensions and pad them dry.
Tip : You can use a waterproof black eyeliner to conceal the white glue.
The duration depends on how often you use the cluster lashes. However, once opened, the tube is good for 6 months.
